TEXA launches the exclusive MARINE RANGE
TEXA will officially present its Marine range with a series of new revolutionary equipment within the diagnostic and telediagnostic sector at the 49th International Nautical Show in Genoa (which will take place between the 3rd & 11th October).
The first multi-brand diagnostic interface dedicated to the marine sector which will be presented as the ‘NAVIGATOR TXM’. The TXM connects via Bluetooth or via a USB cable to a normal PC allowing the technician to communicate with the vehicle systems either on or off board in order to repair problems of an electronic nature.
Through their experience and strength within the Car, Truck, Bike and Agricultural sector; TEXA has developed a solution which allows the technician to operate on various makes of engines by using the same tool and receive continuous automatic updates in order to keep up with the evolution of new models.
The diagnostic software is TEXA’s IDC3 which is already used by technicians throughout the world. It has now been developed in order to be used also on marine vehicles.
It is finally possible to deal with various electronic problems without having to use the specific tool for each manufacture, by using a multi-brand product as is already the case within the automotive sector; and is a serious step forward for the marine technician. This is due to the fact that the technician’s task is, now, much simpler in terms of practicality, efficiency and cost.This is a necessary step to take due to the ever growing complexity of marine vehicles and the greater use of electronics.
The second TEXA product within the new marine range is the TMD (TEXA Mobile Diagnostics). This tool does not only locate the boats position, but also provides an interesting series of additional functions such as the activation of specific alarms, antitheft, driving style monitoring, an accurate servicing management along with the possibility of remotely analyzing all the ECU parameters.
TMD’s unique feature involves the ability to offer truly remote diagnosis. All the electronic parameters may be checked via the Internet on a PC. It will, therefore, be possible to decipher the fault cause remotely regardless of vehicle position. Information can be received as to why certain warning lights may be flashing and the system malfunctioning. Should the vehicle breakdown, the required equipment will be ready and waiting to carry out the repair, thus avoiding having to tow the vehicle into the yard/workshop for repair. If the fault is of an electronic nature; the repair may be carried out remotely.
