D1.2C: DIAGNOSIS AND CONFIGURATION TECHNIQUES PROCEDURES FOR CARS

OBJECTIVES:
To acquire basic functioning concepts and strategies for dealing with errors in the latest generation of control units. To learn how to use the TGS3s function for troubleshooting and diagnostics and to learn the procedures for resetting and configuring electrical and electronic systems on modern vehicles after maintenance or repair.

COURSE CONTENTS:
Use of TEXA software for autodiagnosis; interpreting engineering parameters, errors and states; the ISO page, activations and settings. Diagnostic procedures with fault finding case studies. Resetting warning and service lights; calibrating electric steering systems and angle sensors; calibrating electromechanical parking brakes; coding injectors; replacing brake pads; the diesel particulate filter regeneration process; topping up DPF additive; TMPS, SSPP and RPA tyre pressure sensors; Hydractive 3 self-levelling suspension systems.
