D1A: RESET AND CONFIGURATION TECHNIQUES FOR AGRICULTURAL VEHICLES

OBJECTIVES:
To understand the functioning of the electronic systems on the Agricola tractor. To learn the different types of electrical/electronic system installed on tractors. To analyse electronic systems for: engine, transmission, power lift, CAN bus and ISOBUS architectures. To understand the most important diagnostic methods and procedures for resetting and calibrating systems on leading brands.

COURSE CONTENTS:
A historical overview of electronic systems on farm tractors. The engine control system and European emission control legislation. ISOBUS applications for auxiliary equipment. An in-depth look at the New Holland T6000: diagnosis of the NEF Tier III engine control system, the Command transmission system and hydraulic lift system. An in-depth look at the John Deere 6030: diagnosis of the JD 6068 Tier III engine control system, the PowerQuad transmission system and BCU hydraulic lift control system. An in-depth look at the SAME Iron 130: diagnosis of the Deutz EMR2 and EMR3 engine control systems, the Powershuttle transmission system and front/rear hydraulic lift control system.
