D7: TPMS: TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING & RECOVERY PROCEDURES

OBJECTIVES:
With the EC Directive 661/2009 that sets standards on the safety of a motor vehicle, and with effect from November 1 2014 all cars for registration purposes must necessarily be equipped with a TPMS system. For this reason they have been designed electronics systems able to constant monitoring the tires inflation status, quickly alert the driver when the pressure does not match the values provided by the manufacturer.

COURSE CONTENTS:
The operating strategies of the two main technologies used for monitoring tire pressure "direct and indirect". The components of the system, radio frequency TPMS Valve, the initialization of the individual sensors, the RF receiver, the control unit and data exchange with the CAN BUS network for sending data to the instrument panel. Cautions and maintenance procedures for the tires (replacement, reverse, change with winter tires), the diagnosis of the system with the diagnostic tool TEXA, the reprogramming / cloning of TPMS sensors with the new device TPS TEXA and the recovery mode of the system. Complex procedures to restore and further information will be highlighted during the course through technical sheets released to each participant on the systems : Audi, Fiat, Citroen, Peugeot, Renault, BMW, Opel, Kia, Toyota, etc. etc.
