NEW CERTIFICATE FOR TEXA’S COMPANY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
TEXA is among the first companies in the world that have already switched to the new IATF 16949:2016 quality standard, much stricter than the previous one.

Another important result achieved by TEXA: our company has obtained the IATF (International Automotive Task Force) 16949:2016 certificate. The IATF 16949:2016 standard defines the requirements of a quality management system for companies that operate in the automotive industry. TEXA is among the first companies in the world that have already switched to the new standard. The IATF 16949:2016 replaces the ISO/TS16949 and, with respect to the latter, it is much stricter in terms of requirements. It is also aligned with the new ISO 9001:2015, as it makes direct reference to it and fully respects its structure.

In summary, the main goal of the IATF standard is developing a quality management system that can:
• Promote continual improvement.
• Promote a multi-disciplinary approach based on risk-based thinking.
• Emphasise defect prevention.
• Include specific requirements and tools for the automotive industry.
• Promote the reduction of waste and excessive variation in the supply chain.

Combined with the VDA6.3, the guideline for operational processes used by TEXA, imposed and certified by the most demanding vehicle manufacturers, the IATF standard de facto is the highest level for quality organisation that a company in the automotive industry can achieve.

The obtaining of this new management system certificate is the result of a precise philosophy carried forward by the TEXA Management, aimed at constantly reinforcing and improving the company processes, and at the same time consolidating a competitive advantage to increase both the stakeholders’ trust and the TEXA brand reputation.
