WITH A NEW VIDEO TEXA AND CHEMOURS EXPLAIN THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE OF MOBILE AIR CONDITIONING
According to Directive 2006/40 on Mobile Air Conditioning (MAC), starting from 1 January 2017 all passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in the European market must use a low-GWP (Global Warming Potential) refrigerant, to reduce air pollution and consequent damages to people and the environment, de facto introducing a ban on the old gas R134a.

In this respect, TEXA and Chemours, one of the largest chemical companies in the world, decided to join forces and make a video to explain the importance of the introduction of the new R1234yf refrigerant to the vast world of workshops, giving them the opportunity to face this large ongoing change safely and professionally.

The gas Opteon ™ YF (R-1234YF) developed by Chemours has 99.8% less GWP and an average lifetime in the atmosphere of only 11 days, instead of 12 years. Using air conditioning systems charged with Opteon ™ YF does not make any practical difference for drivers. Whereas mechanics, using a dedicated, completely automatic recharge station such as the products of the KONFORT range by TEXA, will only have to select the manufacturer and model of the vehicle they are operating on, and the whole procedure will be carried out in front of their eyes in a short time and with the utmost accuracy.

Opteon ™ YF guarantees perfect efficiency in R-1234yf systems and ensures the satisfaction of customers, who will be able to use eco-friendly air conditioning, protecting their health and the health of others.
