Checking the health status of a traction battery is now a fundamental activity not only for workshops but also for owners of electric and plug in hybrid vehicles. A battery in good condition ensures optimal performance and has a direct impact on the residual value of the vehicle, as well as on safety and driver satisfaction.
For this reason, TEXA has released the new SoH (State of Health) feature, available within the IDC6 diagnostic software, which allows precise and certified assessment of traction battery health. The value, expressed as a percentage, is calculated using parameters acquired directly from the vehicle’s control units and then processed in the cloud using an algorithm. The new function is available through the TEX@INFO CAR – SoH service.
Once the verification process is complete within IDC6, users can generate two types of certification:
• Workshop Certificate, downloadable free of charge and issued under the workshop’s name;
• CARA-Approved Third-Party Certificate, which includes a more comprehensive set of information and is offered on a pay-per-use basis.

CARA (Car Remarketing Association) is the international association that defines reference standards for automotive remarketing and promotes shared, uniform criteria for evaluating used vehicles. CARA certification is an authoritative asset for professional operators and vehicle owners, providing an official document useful for assessments related to warranty, maintenance, or the commercial value of the vehicle.
To activate and use the service, users must have an IDC6 CAR license and an active TEXPACK CAR subscription, along with a compatible interface such as Navigator Nano S 2 or TXT Multihub 2.
